It does matter. I am seriously considering dropping my 6700 for the Q. Actually I have a Q in one hand and a 6700 in the other. Size wise the Q wins hands-down. It has some functional limitations in comparison to the 6700. There is no way to create/edit any office document - you can only view them. It often misses inbound e-mail messages (not sure why but it's also posed on qusers.com). The UI is a bit clunky (Smartphone vs. PPC) and makes for a very intense learning curve. I would eval the unit first - you get 15 days (30 if you're B2B). You be the judge - my opinions are only that. ![]() Also, the Q is like the 6700 - NO AKU2 Home builders news. !!!!! It's real hard to compare these two as they are very different in functionality.considering one is a chic smartphone (q) and one is a brick pocket pc phone (6700). The smartphone OS is much more limited in its capability compared to pocketpc and lacks in processing power and missing wifi capability (though you can add this through the minisd expansion if you really wanted to). I've been waiting around for the Motorola Q for months but I'm getting tired of waiting. How's the 6700 w/ Verizon? (Not reffering to a hard-reset). Reset hard reset Motorola Q: Hold down the center select key (s) for 5 seconds while. Again though, they are very very different and it's going to come down to personal choice - do you want a more limited, better looking phone or do you want all the converged power of the 6700 in the brick form factor. Maybe one day we will be given the best of both worlds! Well it also depends on what you are going to be using it for. If you are not a hardcore user and just want a lil more than just your basic cell phone then I say why not the q. But if you are a hardcore pda user then your probably goin to be happier with the 6700. I mean its basically up to the person's needs. No reason to carry a brick if you dont harness its full potential. I actually have seriously considering gettin the q just because I really dont use anything on my 6700 but tcpmp and its not very practical for me to carry it around in my pocket expecially during work. But whatever floats your boat. Suaoki u10 manual. Live support is available Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time. Before I got my 6700, I wanted something exactly like the Q: a phone to sync my contacts and appointments with the computer so I could stop typing the information in 2 places (phone + PDA). I went on and got the 6700 as I needed a new phone ASAP, and I don't regret it. Hard Reset Verizon DroidMy use of my PDA has been renewed now that I have a converged device. I used to always leave the PDA whenever I didn't feel like carrying both, but then I'd miss it on the road when I needed to edit a document or just wanted a game or ebook to pass the time. Verizon Motorola Q Hard ResetGiven that the Q is a smartphone, there's no touchscreen and it doesn't allow for document editting. I could never step down to it. However, had it have been out when I was originally buying, it would have been a contender, as it would have served my needs (or what I thought were my needs). For those that just want basic convergence: syncing contacts/appointments/web browsing/media, the Q is probably just fine. But for more intense PDA use, 6700 all the way. The bigger screen makes for a better viewing experience, the touchscreen is handy for taking notes and navigation, and the wider range of software on the 6700 will increase the usability of the device.
